Along with the existence of mining activities, the need for mine rescue has always existed. Especially since the second half of the 1900s, with the increase in the needs of mankind and the development of the industry, mines all over the world have been dug deeper, sometimes pushing the limits of existing technology, and worked faster and harder. In those years, mine rescue techniques, training and equipment used were limited and their effectiveness was extremely low.
