New technology rescue equipment and techniques are being exhibited and tested in the competitions that will take place at the Koza Gold Operations Ovacık Gold Mine in Izmir and will end on September 23.
In the competition, which provides an opportunity for 10 teams consisting of a total of 100 people to get to know each other, mine search and rescue teams will perform in five different categories: underground and above ground, vehicle accident response and first aid, team competencies and chemical incident response.
Anagold Mining, Çayeli Copper Enterprises, Demir Export, ESAN Eczacıbaşı Industrial Raw Materials, Koza Gold Enterprises, Lidya Mining, Polyak Eynez, Turkey Coal Enterprises, TÜMAD, Tüprag Efemçukuru Gold Mine companies participated in the organization as competitors.
Additionally, Acacia Mining Operations, Dedeman Mining, Dimin Mining, Eti Copper, Eti Chrome, Gübretaş Mining Investments, Gümüştaş Mining, Limak Cement and Öksüt Mining will attend the competition as observers.
The event aims to raise awareness on search and rescue issues in Turkish mining and to improve the disaster response capabilities of teams.
